Job Description:

Sr. Manager, Sourcing for Stryker Corporation in Portage, MI to Lead a

senior team of people managers and sourcing managers across multiple

manufacturing locations to drive supplier strategy toward aggressive

quality, cost and service performance targets (30%). Influence the

organization at executive levels to support the commodity and/or original

equipment manufacturer strategy and make sound decisions on supplier

strategy and business development direction (10%). Act as a leader and

escalation path for senior executives within supplier relationships,

including maintaining final authority for large financial decisions (10%).

Develop and maintain structure for the sourcing organization, including

identifying appropriate talent, developing job descriptions, objectives,

key performance indicators and performance goals (10%). Partner with Campus

Strategic Sourcing, Plant, Quality, Advance Operations and Advance Sourcing

and Business Development leads to implement consistent global sourcing

strategy and processes (10%). Perform supplier and market analysis, cost

modeling, supplier negotiations, contract management, supplier performance

management, supplier selection, and commodity strategy development (10%).

Support company-wide initiatives to develop and implement decision support

and data systems to enhance supply chain decision making and performance

monitoring (5%). Deliver departmental growth roadmap to identify internal

development paths and attract best in class external talent (5%). Requires:

Bachelor's degree or foreign education equivalent in Mechanical,

Manufacturing or Electrical Engineering, or Integrated Supply Management,

Industrial Management and Technology plus twelve (12) years of experience

in sourcing or supply chain management for the medical device or aerospace

industry, or, alternatively, a Master's degree and ten years of experience

as noted above. Specific skills/other requirements (quantitative experience

requirements not applicable to this section): managing sourcing or supply

chain managers; performing supplier and market analysis for medical device

or aerospace industry; facilitating cost modeling, supplier negotiations,

contract management, supplier performance management and supplier

selection; and developing commodity strategies for medical device or
