Ferguson Social Media Director
Description: This position is responsible for leading Ferguson's overall social media offering, including thought leadership, planning and executing growth initiatives for the business unit, as well as management of client social media efforts. Day-to-day responsibilities include servicing clients with strategic plans, innovative content development, posting, community engagement and analytics.
The social media director manages an internal content/creative team while working alongside account executives and PR team members to execute communications on-brand and on-strategy. The ideal candidate will demonstrate passion for social media by maintaining and sharing knowledge of leading-edge communication strategies while also being an engaged team member, working with content and design specialists to execute on behalf of client brands.
Experience: 5+ years
Salary: Base salary commensurate with experience + commissions and bonus opportunities
Responsibilities

  • Strategy, planning and management of client social properties and profiles (organic/owned media); working alongside client account team to execute on-brand and within budgets
  • Collaborate with earned media team members to ensure alignment in social media/PR/communications messaging and plans
  • Develop and manage scope of work for new and existing clients with regards to planning, management and execution of social media programs; oversee budgets and billing
  • Lead, mentor and manage a combination of dedicated social media team members and project teams to execute social media initiatives-working to develop compelling copy, design, video and interactive content to drive engagement
  • Work with digital media team on paid campaigns and strategies
  • Champion business development for social media opportunities; work with management to develop and maintain group business plan and establish goals
  • Develop department plan / goals (annual); participate in annual strategic planning and quarterly management meetings
  • Lead ongoing growth of group resources, as well as professional development as it relates to social media
  • Mentor and collaborate with staff to share knowledge and best practices
  • Research, recommend, and attend various training to continually evolve our services and differentiate our agency
  • May include external speaking engagements to promote Ferguson as a thought leader in the social media space
