Job Title: Programming Engineer (On-site)Location: Antwerp, OHReports to: Director of ManufacturingDirect Reports: NoFLSA Status: Salary - Exempt -SUMMARY: Our engineers are responsible for drawing/CAD designing new prints from customers to be interpreted in the production process. They work closely with production to ensure proper specs are met per our customer requirements. The Engineer also works with internal and external stakeholders to integrate new technology and equipment. This role will require a strong partnership with the engineering team and collaboration with the lead engineer. -BASIC QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Bachelor's degree in Industrial Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, or related field or 3+ years of progressive engineering experience required
  • Extensive knowledge of Auto CAD
  • Strong mathematical skills
  • Experience in a manufacturing environment
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail
  • Proficient in technology and learning new equipment
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office SuitePREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS: - -

        • The opportunity to work for a company that supports sustainability and is growing! - -ABOUT THE JOB:As an Engineer, you will be responsible for reading glass engineering drawings and recreating these types of drawings to help describe a new product. -You will also assist in the creation of models or test structures for testing purposes, to see if they can stand up against certain types of forces, temperatures, or other factors. With your strong computer and CAD skills, you will be a critical team member of the engineering team and support a partnership with the operations team to ensure proper work orders and processes are met. It will be essential to show a desire to learn the process hands-on and not be afraid to get dirty. To be successful in this role you must have the ability to communicate the acquired knowledge to improve the plant processes and a hands-on team approach to problem-solving.YOUR ROLE:
          • Draw new prints from customers so they can be interpreted on the floor
          • Communicate with sales and customers to receive correct information for new and existing parts
          • Reverse engineer new parts when needed
          • Input new parts into the MRP system creating BOM and Routing (visual)
          • Ability to run all current software that encompasses the drawing of parts to CNC programing (AutoCAD, Shaping and nesting, glassines Shapefit, Forvet, TAC1,2,3. Etc.)
          • Peer checking of prints & Engineering masters for Niles and Antwerp
          • Upkeep file naming system for parts and CNC programs
          • Track all new parts and projects in the "Engineering Log" spreadsheet and report progress and issues in daily meetings.
          • Create and maintain etches and programs for etches (Panasonic laser etchers and Marvel for sandblast etches)
          • Manage and communicate revisions
          • Daily check of CNC programs for what is scheduled for that day
          • Collaborate with quality and floor personnel to address issues involving part design
          • Meet productivity and quality standards while seeking continuous improvement
          • Upkeep of ISO docs and SWI's
