Job Description:

Essential Functions/Duties: --- Provides direction and technical solutions to Essex global automotive customers and commercial teams. Actively participates in magnet wire product development efforts. --- Create internal product specifications based on customer specifications to ensure Essex products meet and exceed customer expectations. --- Interpretation of applicable standards and technical magnet wire specifications for development of products for our global automotive customers. --- Calculates costing metrics based on product attributes to support product pricing and the RFQ process. --- Manage the Essex automotive product specification system contained within the corporate ERP system. --- Responsibility to understand customer product requirements, development testing and evaluation techniques to ensure developed magnet wire products meet and exceed customer expectations. --- Lead development projects associated with magnet wire product development for automotive applications. --- Personally participates in internal problem solving activities to resolve technical problems. REQUIRED knowledge/skills/abilities and other minimum qualifications: --- BS in Electrical, Mechanical, Materials or Chemical Engineering or related field with 1-3+ years of experience. --- Automotive industry and/or magnet wire experience is helpful.
