Job Description Job Description Job Title: Maintenance Technician Job Description We are seeking dedicated Maintenance Technicians to join our team. You will play a crucial role in ensuring the smooth operation of our production lines, which include milk, cottage cheese, and sour cream in Fort Wayne. Your expertise will be vital in maintaining and repairing various machinery and equipment. Responsibilities Perform preventive maintenance (PM) and reactive maintenance on production machinery. Work on conveyors, palletizing/wrapping machines, bag sealers, filler machines, blow molds, and mixing machines. Maintain and repair label printers, pipes, valves, forklifts, and facilities. Engage in both electrical (40%) and mechanical (60%) maintenance tasks. Participate in a rotating on-call schedule for Sunday emergencies, with compensation for overtime. Essential Skills 5 years of experience in industrial maintenance. Proficiency in electrical and mechanical troubleshooting, including 480-v and 3-phase motors. Experience with hydraulic and pneumatic systems. Familiarity with conveyors and Variable Frequency Drives (VFD). Possession of personal tooling (hand and power tools). Additional Skills & Qualifications Experience in the food and beverage industry. Knowledge of control systems. Cervo experience. Why Work Here? Work Environment The role offers 2nd and 3rd shift openings, with specific hours: 2nd shift from Monday to Friday, 2pm - 10pm, and 3rd shift from Monday night to Friday night, 9pm - 5:30am. Work will include both mechanical and electrical tasks, with a focus on maintaining a safe and efficient production environment. Attire should be suitable for a manufacturing setting, and overtime may be required as needed. Job Type & Location This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Fort Wayne, IN. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $27.00 - $27.00/hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
