We are seeking a Field Service Technician with experience in motors and pumps to join our growing team in Kalamazoo, MI. This is a field-based role requiring both technical expertise and excellent communication skills. What You'll Do: Inspect & test electro-mechanical equipment to diagnose issues Perform electrical tests using advanced tools like Megger, Surge, and HI-Pot Conduct mechanical inspections on sleeve-bearing machines Perform on-site analysis, including electrical testing, vibration analysis, and shaft alignments Create and submit detailed reports on completed work Communicate findings to customers in a clear and professional manner Represent HECO with integrity and professionalism on every job site What We're Looking For: 2 years of experience in electric motor field service OR millwright experience Strong mechanical aptitude – experience with rotating equipment is a plus! Team player with solid communication skills Quick learner who thrives in a fast-paced environment Detail-oriented with strong technical reporting skills Willing to travel (~40%), including overnight stays Valid driver's license with a clean driving record Physical Requirements: Lift, push, pull, and carry up to 50 lbs Stand, stoop, kneel, and bend for extended periods Work in various weather conditions and challenging environments Perform manual labor for 12 hours per day when required Competitive Pay Relocation Assistance!
