JOB DESCRIPTION POSITION TITLE: Regional Director of Sales and Marketing REPORTS TO: VP of Sales and Marketing DEPARTMENT: Administration LAST REVISED: 9/2019 PRIMARY DUTY Manage and create strategic initiatives to maximize admissions and build, grow and maintain an acceptable facility census levels. ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS include the following.--Other duties may be assigned.--Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions.

  • Drive census in seven currently open facilities, with an additional one to two coming on board this year.
  • Manage facility level sales performance in conjunction with the facility team.
  • Ensure compliance with marketing standards (lead generation, calls, tours, events, presentations) necessary to achieve census goals.
  • Train facility-level Marketing Directors to develop more highly functioning and productive sales people. Keep the organization current on best-practice sales techniques.
  • Hire and evaluate sales people based on the requirements of the sales team, namely the generation of census.
  • Oversee and review the sales and marketing quarterly planning process.
  • Routinely analyze and report on trends and challenges in facilities or markets and provide feedback to both regional and facility level sales performance.
  • Assist in training the managers for weekend back up coverage in MOD Rotation.
  • Coaches each community team how to most efficiently manage move ins and move outs to achieve maximum revenue.
  • Update competitive analysis twice a year and sales and marketing plan quarterly or as needed with market changes.
  • Reports any issues or problems that may arise to the Administrator
  • Complies with state, federal, and all other applicable health care and safety standards
  • Assists families and other visitors as needed
  • Attends/completes required in-services and other required meetings
  • Performs weekend manager duties as required
  • Performs other duties as directed MISSION CRITICAL OBJECTIVES 1) Demonstrate knowledge of, and set an example of the PLC culture throughout the team 2) Earn the respect and confidence of the executive team 3) Lead direct reports in a most diligent and developmental manner to ensure optimal results 4) Grow the professional capabilities of each team member 5) Maintain strong oversight of technical areas within the facility 6) Enhance, update, and maintain policies and procedures for the facility EDUCATION and EXPERIENCE an equivalent combination of education, training and experience will be considered.
    • Bachelor's Degree, a minimum of 3 years of experience in a healthcare business development role and/or an equivalent combination of education and experience
    • Experience working in a long-term care setting is preferred
    • Must maintain a valid drivers' license in the applicable state SUPERVISORY REQUIREMENTS of this position are generally as follows:
      • Oversees the activities of the Sales/Marketing Department; directly supervises Sales/Marketing Coordinators as necessary
      • Carries out supervisory responsibilities, including, but not limited to, interviewing, hiring, and training employees; planning, assigning, and directing work; appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining employees; addressing complaints and resolving problems; and terminating employees KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS and ABILITIES which may be representative but not all inclusive of those commonly associated with this position.

        • Sales and Marketing - Knowledge of principles and methods for showing, promoting, and selling products or services. This includes marketing strategy and tactics, product demonstration, sales techniques, and sales control systems
        • Customer and Personal Service - Knowledge of principles for providing customer and personal services. This includes needs assessment, meeting quality standards for services, and evaluation of customer satisfaction
        • Administration and Management - Knowledge of business and management principles involved in resource allocation, leadership technique and coordination of people and resources
        • Judgment and Decision Making - Considering the relative costs and benefits of potential actions to choose the most appropriate one
        • Active Listening - Giving full attention to what other people are saying, taking time to understand the points being made, asking questions as appropriate, and not interrupting at inappropriate times
