Overview:The Senior Sales Manager is responsible for selling the services of Circle Logistics. This role prospects future clients to develop and nurture the customer relationships. Emphasis will be on bringing aboard new customer accounts to build up a book of business. Responsibilities:
Work closely with the Director of Sales and corporate resources to develop a portfolio of business - Actively seeking and bringing on new accounts.
Conducting cold calls to introduce Circle Logistics services to prospective clients.
Generation and maintenance of a lead list illustrating a potential business opportunity
Responsible for preparation and submission of RFI/RFPs for potential clients.
Utilize spot quoting tools and show an ability to execute.
Responsible for maintenance and management of the sales funnel within the CRM tool.
Identify and communicate potential growth opportunities
Expected to monitor and meet key growth metrics including total revenue and margin.
Telephone qualification and face to face meetings via video call platforms with potential customers to determine customer needs.
Preparation of presentations of Circle Logistics services to customers
Manage opportunities, projects and daily transactions with both prospects and customers
Keeping an open line of communication with the Director of Sales and all operations departments Skills/Qualifications
Freight brokerage experience preferred, 1-3 years of experience in a logistics environment required
Business to Business Sales experience required
Experience with and/or ability to learn a variety of TMS/CRM platforms
Bachelor's degree preferred, equivalent experience considered
Proficient in Google Drive and Excel (vlookup, pivot tables, reports)
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Ability to thrive in a fast-paced working environment and multitask
Strong attention to detail
Willing to be available after hours and weekends if needed
Excellent problem-solving and time management skills
Strong work ethic
