SUMMARY

The Partner Manager, Software & Technology will be responsible for managing relationships with strategic practice management software (PIMS) partners from evaluation, implementation, and on-going relationship management. This role will also orchestrate diligence, including organizing a cross-functional team to examine commercial, technology, and administrative issues related to partnership opportunities. Reporting to the, Director, Technology Partnerships, the Partner Manager will focus on new business development, contract negotiation, managing a new business pipeline, project management, external relationship building, internal communication, and cross-functional coordination to drive improvements across our technology group. This role will work closely with Covetrus' global practice management software (PIMS) senior leadership team to execute partnership strategies for the organization that deliver improvements to our products and services.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Manage day-to-day relationships with external partners of Covetrus' technology solutions
  • Leverage previous project management skills to build and track the plan, scope and budget for partner projects
  • Partner with diverse functional areas including product, engineering, marketing, finance and sales to understand the inputs and interdependencies for partner projects
  • Work with Product Managers and the engineering team to define and implement partner technology into our network, including integrations and strategic collaborations
  • Meet with potential partners and work with the Global PIMS leadership team to set go-forward partnership strategies
  • Manage a new business pipeline through Salesforce
  • Identify and track risks to partner relationships and project timelines with appropriate escalation and mitigation planning
  • Ability to understand when to escalate issues to leadership for prioritization on conflicts between competing priorities in the partnership
  • Support senior leadership in evaluation and contractual processes
  • Facilitate cross-functional teams to identify opportunities and define solutions for partner requests and opportunities and drive collaboration internally
  • Ensure key stakeholders attend Quarterly and Annual Partnership Reviews to ensure full benefit of partnership is visible and aligned with respective product teams
  • Provide detailed communication with global team, managing all global product requests and forecasting EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE
    • Bachelor's Degree in related field
    • Master's Degree preferred
    • 5+ years of account management or new business development experience
    • 5+ years of experience in project management
    • Proven ability to work simultaneously on different projects and priorities
    • Smartsheet and Salesforce application knowledge preferred COMPETENCIES (SKILLS AND ABILITIES)
      • Demonstrable track record of prioritizing multi-faceted projects to to achieve critical business initiatives
      • Exceptional communication, presentation, active listening, analytical, and problem-solving skills
      • Strong time-management skills; excellent follow up skills required
      • A solid understanding of project methodology and how to apply it to real world situations
      • Excellent interpersonal skills, interest in working hard, flexibility and enjoy being challenged in a fast-paced environment
      • Knowledge of animal health industry, start-up technology, and large corporate business models
      • Ability to think critically and creatively to contribute in a team environment
