Job Description:

Peabody Retirement Community - Peabody Retirement Community's Assisted Living -is now seeking a full-time -Activity Director -to join our team. The ideal candidates must be devoted and compassionate about their chosen careers. The -Activity -Director -will have experience working with individuals with dementia, have a highly enthusiastic personality, and be able to develop creative activities for our residents.
Responsibilities of Activity Director:

• 
  
• Develops, maintains and coordinates a monthly program of events and programs
  
• Establishes and maintains on-going contacts with community organizations, churches, colleges, universities, cultural organizations and other useful resources for program development.
  
• Recruits, plans and manages volunteer opportunities for the community
  
• Manages, trains and develops staff and volunteers
  
• Makes marketing presentations for community outreach efforts
  
• Works with marketing to assist in the planning of community/resident events
  
• Coordinates community outings to special events, lectures, for an active resident lifestyle
  
• One-to-one activities utilizing interpersonal needs to meet resident/client needs
  
• Projects a positive image of the organization in dealing with residents/clients, co-workers and the public
  
  Qualifications of Activity Director:
  
  • 
    
  • At least two years of related experience
    
  • College degree strongly preferred.
