* Shifts needed to be filled:
- Nov. 19-25
- Dec. 17-31
* Shift Schedule: 7am to 5pm; varies
- (7:00/7:30 am) Rounds and hold over consults; Rounds/consults take 2-4 hours.
- (12:30 pm - 3pm) Reserved Anesthesia in the Endoscopy lab for inpatient procedures; till 5pm if needed
- Additional consults are seen throughout the day
- (Sat & Sun) If on call; new consults and any inpatient urgent procedures
- (Sat & Sun) If NOT on call; rounds [usually a 4-hr day]
* Call Info:
- 'Thurs, Sat, Wed' or 'Fri, Sun, Tues' (5pm - 7am)
- Always 3 nights of call when on hospital service
- All hospital/physician calls go directly to the provider on call
* Call Type: Beeper
* Phone Consults: 3-6 per day
* Rounding: ave. 10-15 patients/day
* No. of inpatient procedures: 3-5 per day
* Age of Patients: 18+
* Support Staff:
- Mon-Fri (6a-5p)/Sat-Sun (6a-12p); Rounding nurse to assist physicians with inpatient notes, entering orders, and scheduling inpatient procedures
- There is a GI Nurse who takes call for office patients
- Hospitalists will admit
* EMR: Cerner
