Orientation will be Mon-Fri week 1 and Mon-Tues week 2 - 8 hour days. MANDATORY ATTENDANCE IS REQUIRED FOR ALL 7 DAYS OF ORIENTATION.

The Comprehensive Cardiac Unit (CCU) is a 30 bed variable acuity inpatient hospital department located on the 3rd floor of the Parkview Heart Institute. The CCU provides both intensive and progressive levels of care, specializing in the continuum of healthcare needs that acutely ill patients with cardiac disease require. Our critical care area specializes in acute myocardial infarction, post cardiac arrest care, coronary artery disease, peripheral artery disease and more. Our progressive care area specializes in the treatment of congestive heart failure. We focus on intervening when a patient is in acute crisis, while educating patients and families about how they can live healthy productive lives with a congestive heart failure diagnosis. The CCU s team of dedicated physicians, nurses and technicians work around the clock to improve the cardiovascular health of the patients we serve.
