Ensures the administration of the workers' compensation program
runs smoothly and reliably. Responsible for claims monitoring and
administration, report generation, and communication with
employees, managers, insurance carriers, medical staff, and
lawyers. Accompanies employees to workers' compensation doctor
appointments to ensure proper care is being considered and to
clarify any questions the provider may have about the job or the
work environment. Helps to reduce recordable injuries by
administering first aid at the plant. Responsibilities of Position:
Administer Workman's Compensation Program Complete and maintain
OSHA 300 logs Assist in conducting statistical analysis on all
incidents for accident prevention programs Administer plant first
aid Maintain physical fitness facilities and equipment in an
orderly, clean and sanitary condition Control medical supplies
including inventories of supplies and ordering appropriate supplies
Schedule and coordinate annual and any follow up audiometric
testing Assist employees with personal medical condition questions
Assist the Human Resources department with FMLA clarifications and
work related accommodation requests Coordinate and participate in
various safety training sessions Assist the plant HSE Manager in
conducting Medical, Health and Safety audits Assist in ergonomic
evaluations by providing human factors inputs Maintain employee
medical/work comp records and confidentiality Maintain
HSE/Medical/Wellness Policies for IATF16949/ISO 14000 Requirements
Attributes/Skills Required/Sought: Working knowledge of Worker's
Compensation Management, OSHA, FMLA, ADA and other Federal, State
and Local regulations Ability to build and balance relationships
between the patient, employer and service provider's needs in order
to get injured employee's back to regular duty as quickly as
possible Excellent administrative skills Assertive and independent
medical decision making Strong interpersonal, oral and written
communication skills, with good attention to detail and deliver
effective presentations Strong ability to influence. Effective
listening skills. Proficient in Microsoft Office products such as
Outlook, Excel, PowerPoint and Word. Ability to demonstrate
organizational values and maintain a high standard of integrity.
Strong emotional intelligence and demonstrated professional manners
when dealing with others. Strong analytical and organizational
skills. Must work well in a participative team environment. Capable
of managing highly confidential information. Ability to prioritize
and work independently. Must be well organized, able to prioritize
tasks, and be an effective time manager Experience/Education
Required/Sought: Associate Degree in Nursing required, Bachelors
Degree in Nursing preferred Industrial environment experience
preferred 5 - 7 years nursing experience required Current CPR/AED
