APN Healthcare Solutions is urgently hiring multiple Phlebotomists
for our renowned client in Oregon, OH for 13 weeks, ending with a
$500 completion bonus!
Position Title: Phlebotomist
Work Location: Oregon, OH
Shift: Night 3x12-Hour (17:00 - 05:30)
Job Duration:13 Weeks
Required:
- Certifications/Licenses Preferred: NCPT and CPT
- Minimum Experience Required: 2 years
- Documentation System Experience Required: Sunquest / Clinisys.
EPIC is preferred
- General Skills Experience Required: Venipuncture, Heel Sticks,
Syringe draws, and Blood Cultures
- Department Details and Patient Diagnoses: Community hospital
with mid-level acuity and LDRP. Only 1 inpatient phlebotomist on
floor per shift.
- Patient Age Group Required: Infants, Adults and Geriatrics
Other Details:
- **On Call Required as Needed: One Weekend every 6 weeks
(alternating day/night)**
- *2 shifts per week usually consecutive nights**
- **Float between Flower and/or Toledo as needed to work 3 shifts
per week as needed**
Job Description:
- Transcribes physician's orders onto transmittals
- Performs a variety of clerical duties in connection with
preparing, compiling and maintaining patient and hospital records
in a satellite laboratory.
- Coordinates scheduling patients tests
- Performs functions of a laboratory assistant
- Registers patients and orders testing using appropriate
computer programs
- This position has the responsibility and accountability for
accurately performing phlebotomy and specimen collection of
inpatients and/or outpatients.
- Samples collected by the phlebotomist are used for laboratory
test procedures that are essential in the diagnosis and treatment
of patients.
- The Phlebotomist may also perform computer, courier, and
clerical functions that are essential to laboratory
operations.
- The Phlebotomist works in conjunction with and under the
supervision of the Medical Technologists.
- Analyzing blood specimens using the correct testing equipment,
when necessary.
- Preparing specimens for transportation, including labeling
vials accurately and matching blood specimens to patients.
- Supplying diagnostic notes to physicians, other healthcare
professionals, and hospitals.
- Keeping and maintaining records of patient names, volume of
blood drawn, and diagnostic findings.
