Job Description & RequirementsRegistered Nurse - Medical Surgical -
(MS RN)StartDate: ASAP Available Shifts: 12 E Pay Rate: $1744.76 -
1922.80This Medical Surgical (MS) unit boasts the latest in
advanced technology housed within a caring and effective patient
care model. A new MS RN team member is needed to round out the care
model. On this unit you will serve adults who are hospitalized to
receive medicines and treatments or who are staying for recovery
from surgical procedures. This position presents a great
opportunity to learn the latest technologies while providing
excellent care within a passionate team environment. General job
duties. Types of procedures required: Completing the admission
history, assessment, and medication reconciliation. If inpatient
beds are not immediately available, starting the inpatient plan of
care for any type of medical surgical unit Equipment utilized in
the unit/dept: Epic is our electronic health record. Medications
are dispensed via pyxis. Standard medical surgical rooms, with IV
pumps, NIBP monitoring, pulse oximetry, SCDs, bedside glucose
testing, or any other type or routine equipment on a medical
surgical floor Shift or schedule requirements: 12 hour shifts No
call required, 3 weekend shifts within a 4 week scheduling period
are required. They could occasionally work alone, therefore they
need to be comfortable with independent work. Floating to other
units/departments: Floating would be a rare occurrence and an
appropriate area and assignment would be selected Bed size/number
of rooms for this unit/dept: 8 beds / 8 rooms. This is not an
inpatient unit, but an admissions unit, if beds are available
Length of stay in the area is 2 to 3 hours. Nurse to patient ratio
of this unit: 1:4 Dress Code: Caribbean Blue ScrubsRequired
Qualifications1. Current IN or Compact RN License (#/expiration)2.
2 years of MS experience3. BLS (AHA only)4. Basic assessment,
medication administration, communication, and documentation
skillsPreferred Qualifications1. Exposure to ortho neuro trauma
