Large referral base to continue growing and maintaining the practice Ancillary services include: LCSW (Licensed Clinical Social Worker) Lab and Radiology on-site CDE (Certified Diabetes Educator) Outpatient Surgical Services 23-bed inpatient unit on the same campus Teaching opportunities available for Wright State Medical Students Telemedicine services for follow-up appointments Part of Mercy Health's northern market - a seven-hospital system serving a 20-county area in Northwest Ohio and Southeast Michigan Our Neurology Services Include: Mobile Stroke Unit A dedicated team of employed neurosurgeons with experience in a wide range of neurosurgical care and procedures including clipping, hemi-craniotomy for large hemispheric strokes, and intracranial bleeds Endovascular Neurosurgery service with two full-time interventional and stroke neurologists Strong collaborative support from pulmonary and surgical/trauma critical care teams Tele-NeuroICU robot for 24/7 communication via your smart device Dedicated Neocritical Care Nurse Practitioners Academic pursuits with rotations for residents in emergency medicine, family practice, internal medicine, and surgery EEG monitoring available 24/7 Video EEG monitoring Transcranial Doppler (TCD) Ultrasound 24/7 Clinical research infrastructure support Responsibilities: Diagnose and treat a broad range of neurological disorders, including stroke, epilepsy, dementia, Parkinson’s disease, and more Provide expert care through both inpatient and outpatient services Utilize EPIC EMR for patient documentation and communication Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, including neurosurgeons, critical care teams, and other specialists Lead and participate in educational and training opportunities for medical students and residents Contribute to research and clinical trials as appropriate Provide telemedicine follow-up services to enhance patient access and care continuity Engage in a community of healthcare professionals dedicated to excellence, innovation, and patient-centered care Qualifications: Education: Doctor of Medicine (MD) or Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine (DO) Board Certification/Eligibility: Board-certified or board-eligible in Neurology Licensure: Valid medical license to practice in Ohio (or eligibility to obtain licensure) Experience: 1-3 years of clinical neurology experience preferred Fellowship training in a subspecialty (e.g., stroke, epilepsy, neuromuscular) is a plus Strong diagnostic skills and the ability to provide comprehensive neurological care Excellent communication and teamwork skills Skills: Proficiency in EPIC EMR Commitment to ongoing professional development and patient-centered care Willingness to contribute to teaching and academic endeavors Compensation and Benefits: Mercy Health offers a highly competitive compensation package that includes: Sign-on bonus and student loan assistance.
