RN Job Details – Fort Wayne, IN - Position Type: Travel Registered Nurse Contract - Location: Fort Wayne, Indiana 46804 - Unit: NeuroSpine Medical Surgical / Telemetry - Duration: 13-week nursing contract - Shift: 12-hour nights (7:00 PM – 7:00 AM) - Schedule: Holidays and every other weekend required; block scheduling available if it accommodates every other weekend - Patient Ratio: 5:1 or 6:1 - Number of Beds: 24-bed NeuroSpine Med-Surg/Telemetry unit - EMR: Cerner electronic medical records - Scrub Color: Navy - Floating: Required to float to other nursing units as needed - Estimated Weekly Salary: $1680 - $1800 Registered Nurse Qualifications - Active RN license (Indiana or compact state) - Minimum 2 years of recent experience in Neuro, Medical Surgical, or Telemetry nursing - BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS certifications required - Proficiency in Neuro assessments, critical thinking, drain management, post-surgical care, chest tube, and groin site management post-interventional radiology - Travel nurses must reside more than 50 miles from the facility - Ability to float to other hospital units as needed RN Responsibilities - Deliver high-quality nursing care to patients with higher Med-Surg acuity, including stroke, seizures, post-op Neuro/spinal surgeries, trauma, DKA, renal failure, and general post-op care - Perform comprehensive Neuro assessments and manage post-surgical patients - Monitor and manage chest tubes, drains, and groin sites post-interventional radiology - Collaborate with interdisciplinary healthcare teams to ensure optimal patient outcomes - Maintain accurate patient documentation using Cerner EMR - Adapt to floating assignments across various hospital units as required Take the next step in your nursing career with this exceptional Registered Nurse job in Fort Wayne, Indiana.
