Job Description:

General job duties. Types of procedures required. Neuro Stepdown/Progressive patients. Drip titration for those experienced with it, if not, will float to Medsurg/tele units Equipment utilized in the unit/dept. EPIC, PYXIS, Philips defibrillator, Philips Bedside Monitors Required skills and minimum years of experience. 2 years of PCU or Stepdown. Previous neuro experience is required. Specific licensures and certifications/registrations required. ACLS, BLS, IN RN license, NIHSS required. Shift or schedule requirements. The employee would never work alone. Three weekend shifts out of a 4-week schedule. Floating to other units/departments. Floating is required, to like units when needed. PCU will float down to MedSurg when needed. If floated to MedSurg, will be kept 1:3. Nurse to patient ratio of this unit. 3-4:1 on Prog and 4-5:1 on Medsurg Dress Code: Caribbean blue scrubs Tell us about the unit/department specific training and orientation program. Travelers will have to attend the Jumpstart program and EPIC training and then they will get 1-2 days on the unit
