qualified PCU RN in Dayton, Ohio, 45409! Pay Information $2,199 per
week About The Position Job Title: Registered Nurse Profession:
Nursing Specialty: PCU/Oncology Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Night
Hours per Shift: 12 Experience: Minimum 1.5 years in SD/PCU nursing
License: State RN License Certifications: BLS, ACLS Must-Have: Must
have oncology experience. Preferred experience with sickle cell and
chemotherapy certification. Must float to all stepdown/advanced
care units. Must have EPIC experience. Must pass an online EKG tele
competency assessment before starting the assignment. Must be able
to read and interpret EKG strips. Nurses will be fitted for N95
prior to working on high-risk respiratory units. Description: We
are seeking a Registered Nurse for the PCU/Oncology unit.
Candidates must have experience in oncology and a minimum of 1.5
years in stepdown or progressive care unit nursing. Experience with
a patient ratio of 1:5 or less is required. ICU experience is not
counted towards SD/PCU experience for consideration. The targeted
patient ratios can range from 1:4 to 1:6 based on acuity. The
nursing team will float at the facility's discretion to other
appropriate units. Travelers must be available to work every other
weekend and holiday. Responsibilities include providing care to
both medical-surgical and advanced care patients. Nurses on this
unit administer chemotherapy when ONS certified. The unit
specializes in oncology and hematology patients. The nursing staff
must manage various skills, including administering blood products
and monitoring drips. Additional interdisciplinary support includes
teams from physical therapy, respiratory services, and pharmacy,
among others. Please note that requests for time off will be
considered at the manager's discretion. References are not required
