Care Registered Nurse Profession: RN Specialty: ICU Duration: 13
weeks Shift: 07:00-19:00 Hours per Shift: 12 Experience: Minimum 1
year of experience required License: Must have a valid RN license
Certifications: Must have ACLS & BLS certifications Must-Have:
Recent experience in long-term acute care, tracheostomy and
ventilator experience Description: Critical care registered nurses
provide care in settings where patients have experienced severe
medical issues such as heart attack, stroke, trauma, or respiratory
distress. They assess patient conditions and develop and implement
care plans. These nurses treat wounds and provide advanced life
support. They assist physicians in performing procedures and
observe and record patient vital signs. Ensuring medical equipment,
such as ventilators and monitors, function properly is a crucial
part of their role. They administer intravenous fluids and
medications as needed. Suctioning patients may also be part of
their responsibilities. Critical care nurses collaborate with team
members in the critical care unit. They respond to life-saving
situations according to nursing standards and protocols. Acting as
patient advocates, they provide education and support to families.
Additionally, critical care nurses may care for pre- and
post-operative patients. Some take on roles as case managers or
