Health to find a qualified Med/Surg RN in Fort Wayne, Indiana,
46845! Job Title: Registered Nurse Profession: RN Specialty:
Central Registry - Float Duration: 13 weeks Shift: 7am to 7pm Hours
per Shift: 12 hours Experience: Minimum of 1.5 years of Level 1,
Level 2 or tertiary experience. License: Indiana state license or
compact license required. Certifications: BLS through AHA required.
Must-Have: Minimum of 1 year of MedSurg experience at a large
hospital (600 beds). Description: The position involves providing
general medical and surgical nursing care. We manage a diverse
population of patients with various diagnoses. Patients may have
chronic illnesses such as COPD, diabetes, heart failure, and
end-stage renal disease. We also address gastrointestinal issues,
infections, and neurological disorders. Mental health care,
including treatment for depression, anxiety, and substance abuse,
is included. Patients may undergo procedures such as colonoscopies,
thoracentesis, and minor surgeries. General job duties encompass
assessments, care planning, and inter-professional communication.
Utilization of the electronic health record system is required.
Candidates must demonstrate proficiency in IV therapy management
and other clinical equipment. Patient care ratios are typically
1:5-6, with some floating to other medical units as needed. A
supplemental orientation program is provided, which includes
