Registered Nurse (RN) | Medical-Surgical Location: Kalamazoo, MI Agency: Cynet Health Pay: $2,728 per week Shift Information: Nights - 4 days x 12 hours Contract Duration: 13 Weeks Start Date: 2/9/2026 About the Position TravelNurseSource is working with Cynet Health to find a qualified Med/Surg RN in Kalamazoo, Michigan, 49007! Job Title: Registered Nurse Profession: Nursing Specialty: Medical Surgical Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Night Hours per Shift: 12 Experience: 1-2 years preferred License: Valid RN license required Certifications: BLS, NIHSS required (must obtain prior to start) Must-Have: Must work every other weekend and may float to other units Description: Desired start date is 02/09/2026. A 40-bed medical surgical unit specializing in care for patients with neurological disorders. Patients treated include those with stroke, epilepsy, multiple sclerosis, and other inflammatory disorders. Unit provides care for a large spinal surgery population, including post-operative neuro-surgery and spinal fusion patients. There are step-down/telemetry beds and bariatric beds allowing for diverse patient care. The unit features a neuro-monitoring area for pediatric seizure patients starting at age 5. Night shift ratios are 1:5-6 and staffing usually consists of 4 RNs with 1 charge nurse. Charge nurse takes fewer patients when staffing is low. Key equipment utilized includes EPIC and Pyxis. Weekend coverage is required every other weekend. Interdisciplinary support includes physical therapy, respiratory services, and pharmacy. Background checks are required prior to employment.
