Registered Nurse (RN) | Cardiovascular Operating Room Location: Elkhart, IN Agency: Cynet Health Pay: $3,006 per week Shift Information: Days - 4 days x 10 hours Contract Duration: 13 Weeks Start Date: 2/9/2026 About the Position Job Title: CVOR Registered Nurse Profession: Registered Nurse Specialty: Cardiovascular Operating Room Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Day 4x10-Hour Hours per Shift: 06:00 - 16:30 Experience: Minimum of 2 years required License: Valid state license required Certifications: ACLS, BLS Must-Have: - General OR skills - Scrub skills in cardiovascular surgery - Experience with common procedures like CABG, valves, and ECMO Description: Position involves working in a cardiovascular operating room with three dedicated operating rooms. Support is provided for two cardiothoracic surgeons and a hybrid operating room. The operating room team consists of four registered nurses. Common procedures include CABG, valve surgeries, ECMO, pericardial window, mediastinoscopy, thoracoscopy, thoracotomy, carotid endarterectomy, and femoral embolectomy. Call requirement is every other weekend and one to two weekdays. Weekend call is the only requirement. Candidates may float to major surgery if there are no CVOR cases. Holiday coverage is required for one holiday per term if needed. The candidate should have experience with various cardiovascular procedures and be comfortable in a high-acuity environment. Additional skills such as infection control, administration of blood products, and use of specialized surgical equipment are essential.
