False Job Description: As a member of the health care team, the
Cardiovascular Nuclear Medicine Technologist performs procedures on
adult and geriatric patients. Advises and collaborates with Heart
and Vascular Center personnel, physicians, nursing staff, ancillary
hospital departments and satellite hospitals to perform safe,
quality, diagnostic procedures and to provide superior patient
care. Performs and adheres to all Cardiovascular Nuclear Medicine
procedures and protocols. Maintains Cardiac Nuclear Medicine
equipment for diagnostic imaging, quality and safety. Adheres to
and implements all the NRC, the State of Ohio, and JCAHO
regulations and recommendations. All employees must adhere to the

hospital policies and procedures as well as addresses patient
safety, performance improvement, and quality of care issues. 1.
Adheres to all radiation safety issues related to
Radiopharmaceuticals by wearing badges. 2. Adheres to NPSG 07.01.01
by effectively washing hands when going from one patient to the
next. • Knowledgeable about patient safety and quality of care
issues. Able to recognize safety issues in the department and
handles incidents per institutional and/or departmental policies
and procedures. If safety issues were identified; all issues were
handled timely and appropriately. • Department education and
training focus has a direct impact on patient safety and reduces
unsafe working conditions for employees. • Employee attends and
follows all department specific safety education and training in an
effort to create a safe work environment. 1. Recognizes Frayed
Cord: Reports equipment dysfunction in timely manner. Make sure
alternate process is in place and action is taken. Reduces adverse
results or impact to patient care and the employee. 2. Recognize
exposure to Blood: Worked as a team to limit exposure and create a
safe work environment. Safety concerns: The manager has been timely
with staff training and education. Wiping up spills. 3. Follows
standardized approach for handoff communication Follows policy and
Standard of Care for communication including the opportunity to ask
and respond to questions. Minimum Qualifications:
Qualifications/Knowledge, Skills & Abilities (Indicate minimum
required to qualify or perform this job.) Required
Education/Experience/Licensing: 1. Associate degree or higher in
Allied Health Field. 2. ARRT registered. 3. Must be licensed in the
State of Ohio 4. One year experience in Nuclear Cardiology with
emphasis in SPECT Imaging and computer training preferred. 5. Must
hold CPR certification. 6. Physical requirements: a) visual acuity
of 20/20 or corrected to 20/20 including color vision when
applicable; b) ability to hear (with or without aides) c) ability
to orally communicate d) good manual dexterity e) ability to push,
pull, roll, and transfer/lift 50 pounds occasionally f) ability to
stand, walk frequently g) ability to bend, reach, stoop, kneel
frequently; and h) ability to perform CPR (if a required for
position). Required Communication and other skills: 1. Exhibits
accuracy, integrity and flexibility; is punctual and dependable. 2.
Possesses organizational, problem-solving, and critical thinking
skills. 3. Demonstrates ability to work with self-direction and
effectiveness under minimal supervision. 4. Demonstrates excellent
written and verbal communication skills; possesses group
facilitation skills. Preferred Qualifications: Conditions of
