Summary of RoleThe Senior Human Resource Generalist is responsible for performing HR-related duties on a professional level and works closely with senior HR management in supporting the Americas region. This position carries out responsibilities in the following functional areas: employee relations, recruitment, training, performance management, policy implementation, employment law compliance. This position supports the Human Resources Director in formulating partnerships across the business to deliver value-added service to management and employees that reflects the business objectives of the organization.Tasks and Responsibilities--

  • Contributes to the development of department goals, objectives and systems.
  • Supports recruitment efforts for new hires, promotions and transfers.
  • Support talent management and training and development initiatives
  • Manages and resolves complex employee relations issues. Conducts effective, thorough and objective investigations.
  • Provides day-to-day performance management guidance to managers (e.g., coaching, counseling, career development, training recommendations and disciplinary actions).
  • Works closely with management and employees to improve work relationships, build morale, and increase employee engagement and retention.
  • Assists international employees with immigration matters.--
  • Administers HR policies and procedures and assists in the development and implementation of policies, procedures and employee handbooks.
  • Maintains in-depth knowledge of legal requirements related to day-to-day management of employees, reducing legal risks and ensuring regulatory compliance. Partners with the legal resources as needed/required.
  • Recommends new approaches, policies and procedures to--continually improve efficiency of the department and services performed.
  • May include administrative tasks to support on-going building management, as well as safety initiatives
  • Other tasks or special projects as assignedEducation and Experience--
    • Bachelor---s degree required, preferably in Business or other related field
    • Minimum 5 years Human Resources experience--
    • SHRM Certification a plusCompetencies
      • Action-oriented, strong interpersonal, organization and multi-tasking skills
      • Strong communication, analytical and presentation skills across all levels of the organization
      • Must demonstrate sensitivity and discretion with regard to confidential information
      • Relationship management
      • Problem-solving mentality with a focus on continuous improvement
      • Ability to consult and lead people
