Job Description Summary

Ensures that products being built and processes being used adhere to all standards and requirements. Monitors engineering processes and products for adherence to company and regulatory standards and practices. Participates in quality-improvement initiatives and projects.

Job Description

  • Acting as AAM liaison at Ford Livonia for primarily and other customers around the area as necessary as a representative for AAM Bluffton Manufacturing Facility in Bluffton Indiana
  • Supporting troubleshooting at the customer line
  • Establish and maintain a strong, clear and advanced communication with AAM Plant representatives and partners
  • Daily report regarding commodity inventories, concerns, activities
  • Share acceptance criteria, train people and monitor sorting process at the customer as necessary
  • Represent AAM BLMF in meetings regarding to problem solving analysis and its status
  • Review of supplier focused tables to drive appropriate issues, actions and response
  • Oversee the AAM product value stream into Customer Plant to ensure a proper preservation and handling
  • In conjunction with Customer Representatives, monitor PTR, PPAP running process, including tests when necessary
  • Guarantee a proper response to Customer demands
  • Ensure a proper preliminary analysis of issues reported by the customer, including pictures, reporting and contentions
  • Coordinate to return material to AAM plants

Required Skills and Education

Educational Background

  • Mechanical Engineering (other areas of Engineering are acceptable)

Experience

  • Minimum 5 years' experience in Automotive/Auto Parts company
  • Minimum 5 years' working in Quality area
  • Basic knowledge of APQP, PPAP, MSA, SPC, Gaging, GD&T, Blue Prints
  • Knowledge and demonstrated competency with 8D and practical problem-solving methodologies
