Job Description:

This position is for a Field Programmable Gate Array (FPGA) Designer/Verification Engineer to work in the Advanced Concepts and Technology (ACT) Hardware Engineering Directorate for the Raytheon Intelligence & Space (RIS) Business Unit. The candidate will develop FPGA level requirements derived from system level requirements, develop associated architectures, implement Vhsic Hardware Description Language (VHDL) design, perform VHDL or SystemVerilog simulation, synthesis, timing analysis, and test the FPGA in a laboratory setting. The candidate will be familiar with latest technology trend in the area of FPGA VHDL design, VHDL or SystemVerilog verification, microprocessor, memory, and interface protocols. The candidate will work in the product development team environment with system, mechanical, and software engineers.Required Skills:10 plus years of experience with an emphasis on digital design, including FPGA development and circuit designExperience with industry standard computer-aided-engineering (CAE) tools for electrical engineering as well as Electrical Engineering (EE) lab equipmentThe ability to obtain and maintain a US Secret Security Clearance. US Citizenship is required as only US Citizens are eligible for a Security ClearanceMay require occasional business related travel (estimated at 20% of time)Desired Skills:Familiarity with Xilinx and Altera development toolsFamiliarity with Mentor Graphics board design toolsExperience with JTAG boundary-scan testingExperience with high speed interfaces (ex.
