In this role, your responsibilities will be of a technical nature
with decisions made within the limits of general practices,
policies and standards. Your work will involve complex
manufacturing problems including the need to root cause and follow
issues to resolve. You will provide robotics programming and
engineering support to the vehicle assembly, body maintenance and
body production organization. You will be responsible for design,
development, testing, and control of major engineering projects
involving tools, equipment, and plant and manufacturing processes
in a centralized manufacturing engineering activity where a
considerable amount of creativity and initiative is exercised as
well as a high level of independent judgement. You will need to
exercise technical direction over other engineers or engineering
support personnel with specific engineering objectives. You will be
responsible for plant floor support in giving service and
assistance to production and maintenance as it pertains to robot
support or robot programming and engineering.

activities representing engineering and to assist in improving the
plant's performance goals.

You will participate in the weekly weekend/holiday worklist
planning activities including updating the list of needed work,
scheduling work, and attending meetings.

between the plant, GMNA, and contractor resources.
You will support the Fort Wayne Assembly enterprise (Body, Paint,
and General Assembly) with robot controls support.
You must maintain proficiency in your field. This may require
specialized training and travel.
You are required to be flexible in your work hours including
floating between shifts to support the maintenance teams. Your
schedule may be non-traditional in nature-supporting weekend
activity where required.
You will be required to complete all GMS (Global Manufacturing
System) audits and requirements.
- Actively implement safety and housekeeping standards (WPO)
- Provide a safe work environment and comply with all policies
and enforce safe work practices as the highest priority and
implement objectives for ergonomics, health/safety, and
- Participate in Level 2 BPD (Business Plan Deployment)

- Support TIP (Throughput Improvement Process), quality,
warranty, and cost improvement projects as needed

- 15+ years of manufacturing experience in high volume
- 15+ years of industrial robotic application experience
- In depth experience with Fanuc programming
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering or related field
