Job Description:

--- Leads the site Learning & Development training program to ensure content is developed using the Systematic Approach to Training (SAT) and is technically accurate, educationally effective and continually updated to provide training sufficient for production personnel to perform their job functions
--- Leads training development, schedules, resources, settings, and delivery to ensure Plant Production goals, objectives, and standards are met; training is delivered in a consistent and professional manner; and the maximum amount of return is received per training dollar invested
--- Mentors and assesses hourly trainers; conducts periodic team member training needs assessments; and conducts job performance evaluations for all task certifications
--- Ensures required training records are prepared, reviewed for accuracy and completeness, and forwarded for retention per procedures to attest to adequate training of personnel to perform their job functions
--- Ensures monitoring and assessment of training and job performance activities to factor improvements into training and to provide feedback to plant or site management regarding needed modifications or procedural changes
--- Provides governance to ensure training is carried out and the applicable standards of work or procedures are adhered to as intended
--- Monitors, assesses, and benchmarks training for process improvement
--- A two-year technical degree from an accredited college or university is preferred, or equivalent Instructor experience
Years of Experience:
--- 5-8 years of experience in the manufacturing industry
--- At least two years as a supervisor; onsite supervision experience preferred
Other Requirements:
--- Experience in presenting Industrial or Manufacturing training
--- Considered an expert with plant practices and processes
--- Ability to effectively operate within teams to carry out tasks and responsibilities
--- Valid driver's license for business-related travel
--- Work beyond the traditional 40 hours per week may be required as workload or projects dictate, including weekends and holidays
--- Excellent interpersonal skills, including written and verbal communication
--- Familiar with Microsoft Office Suite; Word, Excel, Project, and PowerPoint
--- Good facilitation skills
--- Overall energetic and positive attitude
--- Additional responsibility is to be able to teach these values to others and encourage them to join the team.
--- Develops metrics to measure effectiveness of training program
--- Leads and participates in job task analyses
--- Ensures Training to Improve Performance is conducted in a timely and effective manner and incorporates Performance Improvement into all training provided for the Site
--- Other duties as assigned such as special projects, peer team support, Local Joint Training Subcommittee, corporate initiative support, etc.
