Oversee staff responsible for report production and assembly.
Ensure timely issuance of high quality reports and participate in
quality initiatives to provide high percentage of on-time
reporting. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: - Oversee staff
responsible for report production and assembly. - Ensure timely
issuance of high quality reports and participate in quality
initiatives to provide high percentage of on-time reporting. -
Supervised assigned staff. - Provide recommendations for resource
planning, optimize efficiency and ensure high quality of work -
Implement Sponsor-specific style templates. Provide PDF and
electronic report compilation. Manage automated report assembly
tools (e.g., M-Files, Publishing, NeVis, Provantis, Business
Objects). - Schedule and manage milestones relating to the report
production process to ensure timeliness of committed delivery dates
to Sponsors, including scheduling and monitoring in RPM. -
Participate in internal meetings to communicate the status of
report progress, ensure accomplishment of specific milestones to
meet timelines, identify issues which may delay reports.
Participate in the development and application of appropriate
action plans. - Supervise activities of assigned group(s) to ensure
optimum performance of the group/function. - Responsible for People
Leader supervision activities such as: scheduling, employee actions
(hiring, promotions, transfers, etc.), training and development,
providing regular direction and feedback on performance,
disciplinary actions and preparing and delivering annual
performance and salary reviews. - Assist in the development of
short- and long-range operating objectives, organizational
structure, staffing requirements and succession plans. - Assist in
the development and recommendation of departmental budget and
authorize expenditures. - Develop and oversee the implementation of
departmental training programs, including orientation. - Support
the policy of equal employment opportunity through affirmative
action in personnel actions. - Ensure adherence to pertinent
regulatory requirements and to departmental policies, practices and
procedures [SOPs, safety procedures and biosafety protocols]. -
Perform all other related duties as assignedJob Qualifications
QUALIFICATIONS: - Education: Bachelor's degree (B.A./B.S.)
preferred. - Experience: 3-5 years related experience in preparing
research and/or technical reports. Experience in scientific data
presentation, writing, editing, and proofreading required.
Experience with GLP studies preferred. - An equivalent combination
of education and experience may be accepted as a satisfactory
substitute for the specific education and experience listed above.
- Certification/Licensure: None - Other: Strong communication and
analytical skills. Ability to work independently and as a member of
a team. Ability to interact with all levels of staff. Ability to
adjust priorities in order to adhere to stringent deadlines.
Knowledge of GLP regulations. Ability to organize and/or present
scientific data into reports, tables and graphs. Knowledge of
computer programs (e.g., Provantis) and procedures used to
accomplish data reduction. Proficiency in applicable spreadsheet
(e.g., Excel), word processing (e.g., MS Word), and publication
