At every one of our locations, employees demonstrate their commitment to STAR and our customers by honoring our core values of Honesty & Integrity, Accountability, Respect for All, Do What's Right, Commitment to Lifelong Learning, Community Leadership, Being Progressive, Celebrating Success and Remaining Independent.The Trust Operations Specialist position is included in a workplace model that allows for a combination of in-office and remote work.As the Trust Operations Specialist, essential responsibilities include:Perform all daily security settlement activities that include stocks, bonds, and mutual funds trading and settlements; security position reconcilement, cost basis adjustments, and cash settlements with various institutions.Assist STAR financial planning consultants, administrators, and assistants with daily tasks related to servicing customer accounts.Work closely with financial consultants, administrators, and outside managers in trading activities.Review and process investment transactions, handle client and relationship manager inquiries.Handle all account transfers in and out of trust and brokerage accounts.Initiate free delivery and receipt of securities.Administer all security capital changes (i.e. stock splits, mergers, acquisitions, etc.)Reconcilement of all mutual fund holdings, department DDA's, and money market balances.Assist as back up to other functional areas within STAR Wealth Management. Monitor fed funds activity and prepare daily money position report, ensuring reserve and daylight overdraft requirements are met.Research cash letter differences and adjustments. Communicates with the Federal Reserve and corresponding banks for resolution.Balance and reconcile departmental general ledger accounts.Prepare and send FR2900 report weekly to the Federal Reserve.Prepare and monitor entries for securities purchased, sold, or matured; maintain investment files.Respond to internal and external customers with questions or problems and assist with possible solutions.Handle customer telephone calls in a courteous, accurate, and prompt fashion and performing necessary research as needed.
