Never considered the insurance industry before? We think you should. In this role, you will--- Train as an Associate Underwriter on service related tasks. Gain knowledge of underwriting systems and policy types. Gather information for New Business applications. Process loss runs and credential letters. Shadow other areas: Underwriting, Customer Service, Manual Operations.
Assist with various other duties and project work as assigned. We are looking for candidates with--- Active pursuit of degree in Insurance, Risk Management or Business with at least 2 years completed.
Minimum 3.0 GPA.
Outstanding interpersonal, oral and written communication skills.
Ability to succeed in high volume environments requiring personal organization, multitasking, and regular reprioritization with short turnaround time on items of high impact.
Proven ability to work on a team or operate independently and prioritize job duties.
Strong analytical and problem solving skills.
Mandatory computer skills (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Internet).
Year-round availability, 40 hours during the summer; 15-25 hours during the school year.
