Job Description:


The Human Resource Specialist will run the daily functions of the Human Resource (HR) department including hiring, enforcing company policies and practices and being a champion of company morale.


- Create an environment of positive employee relations, keeps confidentiality, establishes trust and credibility, seen by employees as approachable and fair, balances business needs with employee needs, and spends significant time interfacing directly with employees

- Assist HR Business Partner and department leaders with attracting high potential employees through aggressive recruiting efforts

- Conduct new hire onboarding and employee recognition programs

- Support employee recognition activities, including assisting in planning and executing of events

- Assist in program rollouts such as performance management and benefits open enrollments

- Handles employment-related inquiries from applicants, employees, and supervisors, referring complex and/or sensitive matters to the appropriate member of the Corporate HR team

- Maintain records and files in accordance with state and federal laws

- Responsible for assisting in the timely manner to unemployment claims, employment verifications and other time sensitive information

- Reviews, tracks, and documents compliance with mandatory and non-mandatory training. This may include safety training, anti-harassment training, and training of other policies and procedures

- Attends and participates in employee disciplinary meetings, terminations, and investigations

- Performs routine tasks required to administer and execute human resource programs including but not limited to, disciplinary matters; disputes and investigations; productivity, recognition, and morale; occupational health and safety; and training and development

- Maintains compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations

- Maintains knowledge of best practices, regulatory changes, and new technologies in human resources, and employment law

- Other duties and/or projects assigned




- Minimum of 1 year Human Resource experience in a fast-paced environment

- Experience with ADP Workforce Now or similar platform preferred

- SHRM-CP a plus


Associates degree in Human Resource Management or related field, bachelor's degree in human resources preferred


- Possess a natural, yet professional ease at working with and relating to the needs of employees in a fast-paced, ever-changing business environment.

- Exceptional follow-through and attention to detail

- Extremely flexible, highly organized, and able to easily shift priorities

- Strong knowledge of Excel, PowerPoint and Word are required.

- Oral and verbal presentation skills will also need to be of a good caliber.
