Job Description:

Title: Buyer (Materials & Sourcing) Looking for a candidate that is strong in purchasing, materials and sourcing in a manufacturing environment. Job Duties:
---Responsible for identifying and obtaining products and services from suppliers at the best value (cost, delivery, quantity, quality, and technical performance).
---Procure materials and services from both international and domestic suppliers.
---Issue Requests for Quotations (RFQs) to suppliers.
---Identify and select vendor to procure requisitioned material, meeting criteria such as price, quantity, quality, and delivery date and places purchase orders.
---Evaluate supplier pricing to determine best value to the company and conduct negotiations with suppliers to achieve cost reductions.
---Study emerging market trends and evaluate new sources of supply.
---Assure that the acquisition of all goods or services will meet the requirements of the customer and ensure company policies are being strictly followed.
---Track and maintain proper levels of stocked inventory.
---Monitor and evaluate supplier performance and address issues with suppliers.
---Assist in the estimating of new projects for customer proposals.
---Interfaces with all departments to resolve problems and issues.
---Initiate and implement process improvement and cost savings initiatives for department.
---Plan and issue purchase orders with internal Mexico production facility to ensure customer requirements are being met.
---Contribute to the achievement of quality/management objectives by producing products to meet customer needs and expectations.
---Follow all Quality Management Systems, the Environmental Management Systems, and, when applicable, support facility in Mexico in adhering to their systems as well. Qualifications:
---Bachelor's degree (BA/BS.); 3 years' experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
