The Thermal System group develops and sells components and modules
for vehicle thermal systems for TIER-1 and OEM customers. The large
product range covers engine thermal management and vehicle interior
climate control. Thermal Systemsproducts contribute towards energy
saving and emission reduction.
Job Description
Project manager for automotive. Interface between automotive
customers and Bosch manufacturing plant departments to successfully
launch new Thermal Systems projects for various automotive
customers. Manages timelines, open issues, cost tracking and
internal reporting of project status & risks. Facilitates
discussions and presentations to cross functional teams. Works
independently with the Injection Molding, Manufacturing
Engineering, Quality, Planning, Packaging, Logistics and Program
Management teams to support customer product sample orders and
internal sample orders. Will support sample builds, drive builds
that ensure appropriate qualification of products, ensure accurate
build quantities are completed, verify performance and scrap data
record keeping is accurate and traceability of samples is
maintained throughout the build process to ensure on-time, accurate
delivery of samples.
Moderates cross-functional multicultural project teams and
negotiates project trade-offs internally and with customers (there
are synergies with international locations so you shouldbe able to
work/lead international teams). Manages communication to internal
and external customers and vendors. Coordinates regular change
management/project meetings, design and quality gate reviews.
Manages and coordinates activities to support cost development to
ensure project profitably by time of launch.
This position requires you to spend about 20% of your time on the
manufacturingfloor overseeing sample assembly and delivery.
Flexible for traveling for short periods of time (2 to 4 times a
year). Cost tracking, risk management, decision making, management
reporting are the basic competences required for this job.
PHYSICAL DEMANDS
The physical demands described here are representative of those
that must be met by an associate to successfully perform the
essential functions of this job. Individuals may need to sit or
stand as needed for long periods of time. This position will
require walking primarily on a level surface for long periodic
periods throughout the day. Associate will be required to perform a
significant amount of walking to support the actual preparation,
transportation of molded product, building of assemblies, packaging
and movement of samples. Reaching above shoulder heights, below the
waist or lifting as required throughout the workday is likely.
Proper lifting techniques will be required.
