Job Description Please note that pursuant to a government
contract, this specific position requires US citizenship or
Permanent Resident statusFull-time onsite:Because of the need for
consistent, in-person collaboration and/or the requirement to
perform all work onsite due to the nature of this particular role,
it will be performed full- time on site. This means work will be
conducted on location at a BAE Systems facility 100% of the
time.Position Description:BAE Systems is seeking students pursuing
a Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering,Computer Engineering,
or equivalent for our Co-op program. This position would be
insupport of our Controls and Avionics Solutions (CAS) business
location in Fort Wayne,IN. Being a trusted provider of commercial
aircraft solutions, the CAS business alsoproduces and develops
highly reliable flight controls, engine controls, flight
decksystems, and cabin systems for the leading manufacturers of
commercial aircraft. Inaddition, the facility provides aftermarket
product repair, upgrade, and overhaul servicesfor more than 500+
world-wide commercial airline and military customers.Students in
the Co-op program will alternate their schedules by working a
full-timerotation one semester and returning to coursework the next
semester. The Co-op programmay consist of 3 to 4 rotations,
dependent upon student level, course schedule, andcompany needs.
Eligible students must be enrolled in a 4-year university and
havecompleted their freshman year.Within these rotations, Co-op
students will have the opportunity to develop technicalskills and
expand their industry knowledge through hands on experience that
they cantake back to supplement coursework. In turn, their
continuing education enhance thepractical skills. Co-ops will be
included in regular daily activities within their
respectivefunctional department, such as staff meetings, customer
meeting (where applicable), andtechnical discussions that would
pertain to their area of expertise.Principal Duties and
Responsibilities:Duties are based on discipline and are established
under the guidelines of the hiringdepartment. Students will explore
career options while gaining exposure within
theirdiscipline.Depending on level, Co-op students may be required
to work on special projects withentry through moderate level
complexity under direct supervision of management, whichmay involve
the application of technical, accounting, or budgeting knowledge or
similarknowledge/skills pertinent to the function involved.Required
Education, Experience, & Skills Required education: High
School/GEDRegistered in and pursuing a technical Bachelor Science
Degree from an accredited 4-year university having at least
completed Sophomore yearBasic knowledge of fundamental concepts,
practices, and procedures of a relevantfield of
specializationAbility to work well with cross-functional
teamsStrong interpersonal and communication (written and verbal)
skillsPersonal computer skillsDemonstrated self-motivation and
ability to work independentlyPrevious work experience not required
but helpfulMinimum GPA of 3.0Preferred Education, Experience, &
Skills Electrical, Electronics, or Computer Engineering disciplines
