Job Description:
The Ultra Engineering function manages a portfolio of specialist
capabilities, generating highly differentiated solutions and
products by applying electronic, mechanical, and software
technologies in demanding and critical environments to meet
customer needs.
This role is responsible for the creation of printed circuit boards
via Electrical Computer Aided Design (ECAD). Some of the functions
involve schematic circuit, library parts creation, board layout,
and Bill of Material creation. This position directly supports the
requirements for configuration management control by implementing
Ultra Maritime's standards and procedures on all new creation as
well as engineering change and maintenance work.The Electrical and
Electronic engineering function in Ultra supports the hardware
development lifecycle consisting of requirements analysis, design,
implementation, test and verification in order to deliver
electronic or electrical components and subassemblies into projects
and products.A professional at this grade possesses knowledge for
specific fields and performs structured work assignments. Uses
established procedures to solve problems by making judgments and
gets work done with quality under moderate supervision. Has limited
discretion to vary from established procedures.Essential Duties &
Responsibilities
- Prepare detailed designs and documentation for the creation of
schematics, parts and layouts of circuit card assemblies using
printed circuit board design software.
- Create and review Engineering Change Requests to verify
accuracy, thoroughness, and effect of change to all products.
- Input or change bill of materials in the standard company
enterprise resource planning tool (ERP) and/or Microsoft
Excel.
- Participate in the preparation and validation of the technical
data package needed to support engineering development,
manufacturing, testing, and high-volume production activities.
- Implement Ultra Maritime's standards and procedures to support
drawings, bills of materials, processing engineering change notices
with sufficient technical and precision to document engineering
concepts and new product designs.
- Review final documents, checking schematic, board layout, and
materials to be used.
- Participate in engineering design reviews.
- Assures documents and ECAD files are maintained under proper
configuration control.
- Communicate with tooling, QA, engineering and manufacturing
supporting new and revised designs.
- Responsible for staying in compliance with EEO, ADA and all
other applicable governmental requirements the company is required
to be in compliance with.

- Perform all other duties as required, requested or
needed.Required Skills:
- Must be a US Citizen
- Four years technical training with 2+ years experience in ECAD
environment using PCB design software or Two years technical
training with 4+ years experience in ECAD environment using PCB
design software
- Must currently hold or have ability to obtain a US Government
security clearance. Security clearances are granted to U.S.
citizens.
- Understanding of Configuration Management principles
- Excellent communication skills
- Experience with Altium or similar tools
- Familiarity with circuit simulation tools
- Some programming experience, preferably in Visual Basic#ind1We
