C & AMinebeaMitsumi Group Is currently accepting resumes for the following position:Help Desk/Desktop Support The Help Desk/Desktop Support Technician is responsible for providing the initial point of contact for employees having IT related issues and escalate as needed. They will be responsible for supporting workstations, software, printers, mobile devices and other IT related equipment. They will assist in maintaining network documentation for the organization. They will need to be able to provide this assistance in person, via email/chat, or over the phone. The technician will be required to utilize our help desk software system to track issues within the organization. Job Responsibilities:--- Professionally and effectively serve as initial point of contact for the IT Helpdesk and escalate tickets in the system as needed.--- Respond to technical support calls, emails, and in-person requests for assistance.--- Prioritize work/tickets accordingly and work with other technicians to resolve issues.--- Provide hardware, software and networking support for all levels of the organization.--- Provide end user training to employees.--- Assist with other duties as assigned. Qualifications: Required:--- High School diploma or GED required.--- Minimum 2+ years of proven experience in a helpdesk or IT environment.--- Strong team player and able to communicate with co-workers regularly.--- Excellent organizational, written, and verbal communication skills.--- Knowledge of Windows desktop operating systems.--- Knowledge of network cabling and standards.--- Possess working knowledge of Microsoft Office including Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook.--- Ability to lift 75 lbs. Preferred:--- Bachelor's degree.--- 4+ years of proven experience in a helpdesk or IT environment.--- Good understanding of common network services and protocols.--- Knowledge of Windows server operating systems and Hyper-V environments. Daily responsibilities include updating ticket information, answering technical support calls, assigning tickets severity, prioritizing work accordingly, collaborating, and working with other technicians to resolve issues. Receive and work on break/fix requests from the service bench. Troubleshoot, diagnose, repair, install, setup, configure, and deploy workstations, printers, switches, setup workstations. Assist employees with various applications and operating systems. Communicate technical information to both technical and non-technical users.
